MISSION STATEMENT
To facilitate protection activities against Gender-based violence (GBV) and support to unaccompanied and separated child (UASC) through training and family links, support to young persons, sexual gender based violence (SGBV) and women who are victims of armed conflicts and other forms of violence.-To promote education for all children most importantly the girl child and people living with disability-To provide assistance and support to the vulnerable and to strengthen victims of conflicts and the likes by promoting humanitarian activities through peace building and conflicts resolutions-To train and empower the vulnerable women, girl child on life skills and livelihood programs to be self-reliant.
VISION STATEMENT
RUFASI envisions on improving the living standards of the vulnerable persons and communities through developmental and participating initiatives to alleviate the suffering, and affliction of children and women, in distressful situations
OUR MAIN ACTIVITIES
EDUCATION
i. Provision of Scholastic materials
ii. Establishing Temporal Learning Space (TLS).
iii. Behavioural Changes towards education by Creating Awareness on the importance of Education to the parents and children.
iv. Creating an enabling learning Environment for the children.
WASH(HYGIENE/SANITATION)
i. Community engagement towards good hygiene practices.
ii. Creating awareness and sensitization about good hygiene practices.
iii. Donation of hygiene resources to the community to strengthen the hygiene practices in the community.
iv. Establishing Hygiene promotion in the community.
FOOD SECURITY AND LIVELIHOOD
i. Partnering with government and food security sector/Actor for distribution of food to the community.
ii. Creating Income Generating Activities for people in the community.
iii. Establishing and monitoring kitchen garden for the people in the community.
iv. Creating an avenue for the people to learn skills or improve on their skills by making material resources available for them.
v. Empowering the people in the community with entrepreneurial resources.
NUTRITION
i. Educating women about IYCF.
ii. Creating mother-to-mother support in the community.
iii. Screening and referring malnourished children to the OTP and monitor their progress (Follow up).
iv. Partnering with Government and other nutrition partners in the distribution of supplements to the children to prevent them from malnutrition.
PROTECTION
i. Mainstreaming protection, especially child protection into all of our activities.
ii. Case management.
